| | Bicycles | | Both the city and the state codes regulate the use of bicycles on streets and highways. Bicycles are to obey the same laws that cars have to, except for the registration. They are required to ride single file as close to the right hand curb as possible, stop signs and signal their intentions to turn or stop. Bicycles are allowed to ride on sidewalks except in the uptown area where there are people walking in and our of stores. Scooters and skateboards are treated the same as bicycles as long as they are riding from one point to another and not doing stunts in in the street or sidewalks. On sidewalks bicycles must yeild right-of-way to pedestrains. Additionally, bicycles ridden on city streets after dark must be equipped with a headlight and reflectors. | | |
